| The thinnest stainless steel in the world is hand torn steel, commonly known as ultra-thin precision stainless steel. Generally speaking, the thickness of steel is between 0.05 millimeters and 0.5 millimeters, and only those with a thickness below 0.05 millimeters are eligible to be called ultra-thin precision stainless steel. Developed independently by Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group in China, after more than 700 failed attempts, nearly 200 equipment problems and over 400 technical problems have been successfully solved, and five core process technical problems have been successfully solved. After unremitting efforts, a hand torn steel with a thickness of 0.02 millimeters has been successfully developed, and mass production of hand torn steel has been achieved. Its thickness is only one fourth that of A4 paper and one sixth that of hair, making it a steel that is even more valuable than gold. Although it looks as thin as cicada wings and can be easily torn open by hand, its high strength, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance are essential for protective clothing in nuclear power plants and aerospace fields. Hand torn steel has a wide range of applications, including high-tech fields such as aerospace, precision electronics, automobiles, home appliances, and medical devices. It has also become an indispensable material in many high-precision and cutting-edge fields, and is known as the jewel on the crown of the steel industry. The main raw material for foldable phones we are currently using is hand torn steel, because only by hand tearing steel can the requirements of repeated folding be met, and it remains unchanged |
